Find your ribbon color
A short test of 10 everyday situations shows your hello style: red, yellow, blue or green. Any ribbon means one thing: you can say hello to me.
Your people are out there, you just haven’t met yet. We’re starting with one day when meeting someone is easy. A ribbon on your wrist means: you can say hello to me.
Get a ribbon in your color ready. Tomorrow we say hello all day to anyone else wearing one.
Go about a normal day and say hello to anyone else wearing a ribbon.
The day before Valentine’s Day: meet new people on the 13th, and you’ll have someone to send a valentine to on the 14th.
Countdown to World Connection Day

All rules“Each of us has been lonely at some point, or is lonely right now. Loneliness left a serious mark on me too. Everyone has a mission, and I chose to fight loneliness. I built a dating app with 20 million users, but it’s only a tool, and it doesn’t fully solve the problem. What if there were a day when nobody is afraid to say ‘hello,’ nobody is afraid of looking weird, and everyone knows the other person won’t turn down a chance to get acquainted? That’s how I came up with WCD: a day when we outsmart our fears. Take the test, share it with friends, and let’s make this the coolest and most useful worldwide movement in history.”
Valery Klimov is the founder of Fledge, an app for mindful dating. He built a dating app used by more than 20 million people. The WCD color test was developed by the Fledge team. The whole story of the day is on his Instagram, @valklimoff.
